Tomo Andreas Jäckle, flute

Tomo Andreas Jäckle began playing piano at the age of four before starting on the flute at the age of ten, studying with Burkhard Jäckle, solo flautist of the Munich Philharmonic. He went on to study from 2002-2006 with Andrea Lieberknecht at the University of Music in Hanover and from 2006-2008 in the class of Michael Kofler at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. Tomo Andreas Jäckle has won many prizes at the national competition “Jugend musiziert,” including the Sparkasse Prize in 1998 and the Erlanger Prize for the best interpretation of a contemporary piece in 1999. He has been a member of various orchestras, including the Bayern State Youth Orchestra and the National Youth Orchestra of Germany. Following this, he worked for the Jungen Deutschen Philharmonie and the Deutschen Kammerphilharmonie Bremen and played as soloist with various orchestras, including the Philharmonischen Orchester Bad Reichenhall. Since the 2006-07 season, Tomo Andreas Jäckle is flautist with the philharmonic orchestra of the opera in Kiel.
