Frederike Timmermann, oboe

Frederike Timmermann began in 1994 recorder, piano, singing, and oboe lessons at the Westfälischen Schule für Musik with Klaus Storm. At the national “Jugend musiziert” music competition, she was awarded various prizes for solo and chamber music performances, among others the Sparkasse Prize for North Rhine Westfalia in 2002. In 2001, Frederike studied in the pre-college program of the University of Music in Detmold with Gernot Schmalfuß and in 2002, was accepted to the University of Music in Hanover to study with Klaus Becker. In addition, she has played in various orchestras, such as the North Rhine Westfalia State Youth Orchestra and the Schleswig Holstein Festival Orchestra (2007). After she completed her Diploma program in 2008, she decided to continue her studies in the Soloist program. From 2010-11, Frederike worked as the solo oboist in the orchestra of city theatre of Braunschweig, from 2011-12 at the city theater of Flensburg, and from 2012-13 at the Lübeck Philharmonic. In 2013 she took up her previous position at the city theater of Flensberg once again.
